The mixed blessing of early pumpkins

Rumor has it pumpkins are maturing way earlier on the calendar than they normally do.

Here’s the insane thing about climate change, assuming it’s 100% real according to the shouters (versus only kinda sorta real, but also a bit of a hiccup in the order of things that could right itself in due course):  while the world slowly comes to a boil, along the way there are going to be all sorts of positive effects of the changes that people will dig, despite the dire realities these changes portend.  Less slush and ice in winter–yahoo!  An indian summer in Minneapolis in November–hoo-ray!  Gorgeous fat pumpkins available right after Labor Day–where’s my wallet?!

What’s that smell coming from Rome?  Where’s my fiddle?
